Recently, the list of the first batch of Zhejiang Province Technology-based Small and Medium-sized Enterprises for 2024 was released. Baino Chuangrui (Wenzhou) Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the first settled enterprise in China Gene Medicine Valley, was successfully selected.

Technology-based SMEs, a certification marker of corporate innovation capacity, refer to small and medium-sized enterprises that rely on a certain number of scientific and technical personnel, engage in the research, development, production and sales of high-tech products, focus mainly on the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, technology development, technical services, technical consultation and high-tech products. Such enterprises acquire independent intellectual property rights and translate them into high-tech products or services to achieve sustainable development. The certification evaluates an enterprise in terms of independent intellectual property rights, R&D management capability, talent structure and other indicators.
