On June 28, the 2024 Bioprocess and Engineering Intelligent Control Summit concluded successfully at Hyatt Place Chengdu Bio-Town. Guided by the Administrative Committee of Chengdu Tianfu International Bio-Town, the summit was co-hosted by the Biotech Experts Association of Chengdu Hi-Tech Zone, Fachenghaoxin, Mayair Technology and Rockwell Automation, organized by Medispace, and supported by China Food and Drug Enterprises Quality and Safety Promotion Association and Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association (CBA).

The successful event is of great significance for boosting innovation and advancement of bioprocess technologies, strengthening intra-industry cooperation and exchanges, and driving the development of the biologic drug sector. Centered on the theme “Gather Wisdom, Steer the Future”, the summit focused on cutting-edge global process technologies and engineering. It brought together professionals from the bioprocess and engineering community and technical pioneers in the pharmaceutical industry. Through keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, debates and panel discussions, participants jointly explored optimal solutions for process scaling and commercialization.

Mr. Wang Shumin, General Manager of our company, was invited to attend the summit and delivered a keynote speech titled “Technology Transfer and Compliance Strategies for Biologics”. He delved into the categories and workflows of biologic technology transfer, analyzed compliance strategies and gaps in technology transfer and scaling-up, and elaborated on relevant technology transfer cases.

General Manager Wang Shumin pointed out that technology transfer, a prominent and challenging issue for pharmaceutical enterprises, may take place at all stages of the product lifecycle. A successful technology transfer can substantially cut costs for both the sending and receiving parties, shorten time-to-market, reduce redundant work, and achieve proper and effective knowledge management and sharing in a single go.
